Mr.Soenam Jamyangling was born in Tibet . At an early age he studied at the Nyima Chagra Buddhist Institute. He left Tibet for India in 1959. After finishing his basic education in Denmark he studied for some time at the Technical Institute in Teheran.

For several years he worked for the Tibetan Exile Government, but eventually moved to Scandinavia settling in Sweden where he was the director of a Tibetan Buddhist Centre for many years.

After leading a delegation to Tibet in 1988 he returned to Sweden and founded the Swedish Tibetan Society for School & Culture and its affiliation in the US . He is the Chairman of the organisation.
